Dear Rahul, It appears to be as if your boss is dealberitely not letting you go. Explain to him that due to your health you would not be able to serve him effectively and thus you need the transfer. Request him politely, emphasize on the point that this is a crucial time in your higher education and you need his help. As per the rules there is no necessity of obtaining a letter from a prospective future principal, your boss is just playing with you. What I would suggest if that you go some firm where you have contacts of friends or relatives and get a letter from some CA on his letter head. As far as leave is concerned , do not write more than 14.22% days of the gross no. of days that you have served with him. If you write more than that your articleship will be extended. Moreover , as per ICAI’s regulations he is supposed to pay you if you’ve stopped going to the firm with his consent. You can complain against him then the institute will sort out the issues. Use the e-Sahaytaa portal on the institutte’s website. Contact the local ICAI branch’s student counsellor for further help. Never join a firm without prior research the next time.
