With effect from 1st July 2011, employees under the Provident Fund Scheme of Ministry of Labour and Employment Scheme can verify their EPF Balance from the official website of EPF Organisation.

The official website says that as announced on 22/06/2011 by the Hon’ble Minister for Labour & Employment and Chairman CBT, EPF Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, EPFO has launched a web based service for any EPF Member to know the balance in his/her EPF Account upto the date, the accounts are updated and includes the latest approved transactions of settlement/advances/transfer-in/transfer-out, if any.

To know one’s balance the member has to visit the official website home page and visit the LINK provided to know the balance. For this you have to enter the PF Account Number, Name and Mobile Number.  Once the information is furnished, the balance details will be sent through SMS to the mobile number furnished.

As of now, the balance details pertaining to the following offices alone are available and the site says that that the remaining offices will be added soon.

Delhi (North),
Delhi (South),
Laxmi Nagar (Delhi),
Gurgaon,
Faridabad,
Karnal and
Bangalore
