The authority for admitting students for various Government, Government aided and private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu is Anna University, Chennai.

The Anna University being the nodal government agency for admitting engineering students, it will issue advertisements during the end of academic year every year calling for applications for various courses from students who are seeking seats in colleges under the academic control of Anna University.

Now the Anna University is admitting students based on their Plus two marks and no entrance examination is conducted and the entrance examination has been abolished in Anna University admission.

The admission is called TNEA (TAMIL NADU ENGINEERING ADMISSION) and now the Anna University has published about the ensuing TNEA 2010 and the link provides the minimum cutoff marks and maximum ranks scored during the last year (2009) .

The last year cut off marks will enlighten the students to know their position in a better way to score the required marks for various courses, colleges .

With your marks, you do not have chances for medical, sorry., but for engineering seat you can try. Moreover good engineering college may require marks around 189 and above.
