All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has won 150 seats in the assembly elections and the elected MLAs meeting is scheduled to be conducted in the AIADMK Headquarters at Chennai on Sunday 15th May 2011.(updated on 14th May at 3.25 PM)
According to media reports, Ms J. Jayalalithaa will be assuming the office of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 15th May 2011. As per the latest election results, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has secured an absolute majority in the elections.
And all the MLAs will take oath on 16th May 2011.
The Governor of Tamil Nadu H.E.Surjit Singh Barnala will solemnize the oath of office to the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu Ms J. Jayalalithaa in the function to the held in the Raj Bhavan, Chennai. And this will be her third term of office as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Ms J. Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK will be winning in 140 constituencies and her party would form the government as a single largest majority party.
The Director General of Police Ms Letika Saran and Chennai Police Commissioner Mr. Rajendran have today met the new chief minister at Chennai and discussed about the office assuming function.
